Ceramic Restoration & The Process

Ceramic restoration is used to restore the structural integrity of chimneys and ensure they can function safely and efficiently. The ceramic coating is applied as a thick mortar designed to fill in the gaps and cracks in your chimney.

Our ceramic restoration process entails:

1. Our team will cover the area in plastic for protection and cleanliness.
2. From there, we’ll set up ladders or scaffolding to access your chimney.
3. A mechanical crank with a large sponge-like applicator will be lowered into your chimney. 
4. The liquid ceramic is poured down onto the applicator.
5. We’ll then crank the applicator up the chimney as the ceramic coats the inside of your chimney, filling in any holes and cracks along the way.
6. We’ll assess your chimney, ensure there are no more gaps, and remove and clean all our tools.
7. We’ll enter your home and look up into your chimney; if cracks are present, we’ll use a different machine to spray the ceramic coating into the smoke chamber.
8. Once your chimney is properly coated, we’ll clean up the excess liquid ceramic, bricks, and other debris, put the damper back in place, and take photos of the completed work.
